335139 ....An Untold Story
"It is far better to live like a lion for
a day than to live like a jackal for hundred years "
~Tipu Sultan
This is a story of truth devotion and sacrifice. This is the true picture of courage and love for the soil. It's a story of son of the soil ,Sepoy Maqbool Hussain.
Hussain was a resident of Azad Kashmir .He was a sepoy for Pakistan Army in 1965 against India .He was taken as prisoner by the Indian forces but was never given the status of "Prisoner Of War " because this provided him certain rights. He vanished and was declared missing on 20th August, 1965 .The Indians thought they could break down Sepoy Maqbool and get information from him. They tried everything in their power, all sorts of mental and physical torture but they could never break his resilience . The torture grew to such an extent that they cut off Maqbool's tongue and took away his power of speech forever .This inhuman behaviour reflects the extents of cruelty crossed by the enemy .
The man spent 40 years of brutal Indian torture but never spoke a word against his country Pakistan. Whenever he bled he used to write "Pakistan Zindabad "on the walls of the Indian jail .
When Sepoy Maqbool Hussain was released in 2005, he had completely lost his senses due to the harsh Indian treatment but still this brave man remembered his service number .
He was awarded with "Sitara e Jurrat " on 23rd March ,2009.
This great man passed away on 28th August ,2018.
He accepted to be a prisoner
But never to be a traitor
Although he was made silent
He wrote with his blood,a heart warming story
And heightened our glory
He made a big sacrifice for which none can pay the price
He faced those cruelties ,
Stood against those atrocities
He was a man of outstanding valour
Who defended the truth and brightened our glamour
This great man will never be forgotten
With blood his glorious sacrifice is still written
A tribute to our hero ❤
